I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE TO START WITH THE AMOUNT OF AWESOME STUFF THAT OUR GYM HAS TO BE PROUD OF FROM THIS WEEKEND.
#1) TONY VALLERY, JON YAVE, AND JEREMY LAWSON, ALL NAVY CORPSMEN FROM THE BASE, COMPLETED TOUGH MUDDER NEW JERSEY IN HONOR OF THEIR FALLEN BROTHERS AND SISTERS. I CAN'T THINK OF A MORE NOBLE TRIP TO MAKE THIS VETERANS' DAY WEEKEND THAN TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE WOUNDED WARRIORS PROJECT AND GET MUDDY WHILE DOING IT. GREAT JOB GUYS.
#2) MY COUSIN, KIRK BAILEY, BENNY CONSTANT, AND SAM CASEY TRAVELLED TO JERSEY THEMSELVES THIS WEEKEND TO COMPETE IN THE NEXT STAGE OF THE RUGBY CHAMPIONSHIPS. LUCKILY, THEIR TRIP WAS NOT WASTED. THESE CRAZY BASTARDS WON THEIR MATCH IN THE FINAL SECONDS 32-30! ACCORDING TO MY CUZ'S COOLBOOK POST, THESE BOYS ARE HEADED WITH NEW LONDON RUGBY TO THE NATIONALS!!! OUTSTANDING!
#3) KEITHA FIORE, ANDY PYRPCH, AND I HEADED OVER THE BRIDGE TO COMPETE IN THE NEW LONDON CROSSFIT THANKSGIVING THROWDOWN. ANDY AND I HELD OUR OWN. FINAL RESULTS SHOULD BE OUT SHORTLY, BUT I KNOW I GOT 8TH IN THE MEN'S RXD DIVISION. MORE IMPRESSIVE THAN MY FINISH IS THAT KEITHA WON 1ST PLACE IN THE FEMALE SCALED DIVISION. THIS IS AN OUTSTANDING ACCOMPLISHMENT SEEING AS SHE'S ONLY BEEN CROSSFITTING FOR ABOUT 7 MONTHS. GREAT JOB HONEY. YOU'VE BEEN A LOYAL AND DEDICATED ATHLETE AND CLIENT SINCE I OPENED AND I'M AN UNBELIEVABLY PROUD AT HOW BADASS YOU ARE.
OUR GYM ISN'T EVEN A YEAR OLD, BUT I'VE GOT TO SAY THAT THE OVERALL BONDS, FRIENDSHIPS, AND WORK ETHIC THAT HAS DEVELOPED IS UNLIKE ANYTHING I'VE EVER SEEN BEFORE. NEXT YEAR, ALLLLLLL OF YOU SHOULD BE SIGNING UP. COMPETITION IS A GREAT WAY TO LEARN YOUR TRUE LIMITS AND BREAK THROUGH THE OLD ONE'S. GREAT JOB EVERYONE!
