Here's just a few shots of Tough Mudder and our very own Jason Combs. I highly recommend one of these challenges to everyone. If nothing else, Tough Mudder illuminates our body's true work capacity. Everytime you perform a brutal workout in the box, you can always say, "Well, at least it's not that bad." I'm extremely proud of Jason and his friends Adam and Smiddy that completed the course as well. Hopefully, we catch these guys in the box sooner than later. As usual my coworkers impressed me as well coming in well below the average time of 4 hours. Not bad for a bunch of dudes that struggled to complete a 5k less than a year ago. Great job everybody!
P.S. NEXT COMPETITIONS-
SECT TOTAL 10/29/11 - COMPETITORS INCLUDE MYSELF AND JOE CROZEIR
NEW LONDON THROWDOWN 11/12/11- COMPETITORS INCLUDE JASON ERBAN, KEITHA FIORE, ANDY PYRP, AND MYSELF
TOUGH MUDDER NEW JERSEY- 11/12/11- I BELIEVE COMPETITORS INCLUDE LOU ROQUE, JON YAVE, ANTHONY VALLERY, GRACE SCHWENNING, AND JEREMY
I CAN'T DRIVE PEOPLE ENOUGH TO ENTER SOME FORM OF COMPETITION. EVEN IF IT'S JUST A 5K. MOST RECENTLY WE'VE HAD QUITE A FEW CLIENTS DOING JUST THAT. IN THE LAST SEVERAL WEEKS, WE'VE HAD KEITHA FIORE COMPLETE THE ENTIRE HARTFORD MARATHON AND RACHEL BOUNECORE SET A PERSONAL RECORD FOR HER 5K TIME.
IF ANY OF YOU FOLLOW THE MAINSITE- WHICH YOU ALL SHOULD- TAKE NOTE THAT THERE WAS A GREAT WMV OF COACH GREG GLASSMAN, THE FOUNDER OF CROSSFIT. IN IT, HE'S EMPHASIZING THE BENEFITS OF GROUP SESSIONS OVER A BEER AND HE STATES,
"YOU NEED TO BE SUPER EAGER TO COMPETE, TO ENGAGE, TO SEE WHAT OTHERS CAN DO..."
I AGREE WHOLE-HEARTEDLY WITH EVERYTHING HE HAS TO SAY. TAKE A MINUTE AND GIVE IT A VIEW.
